Seperating beginners from the rest.

The actual result will probably lead to extreme levels of competition between beginners who will want their "upgrade" to Experienced, not to mention it'll be pretty complicated to sort things out - it's extremely subjective and could potentially hurt feelings.

Seems unnecessary. People will be asses to newbies no matter how separated they are. I'm led to believe that's obvious after the years I have spent with the community, anyway.

Actually, I've seen the system work reasonably well on another site, dealing with animation.
Besides, the current system obviously has its problems, and this new system offers a promise of a fix. I'd say it's worth the attempt; if it makes things worse, or just doesn't fix the problem, then we can always switch back.
The years you've spent with the community have been while it was under the current system, not this new system - how, then, do you know if your statement there is true?
I'm not trying to make a big argument here, I'm just saying we should at least try it.
