Here, I'm going more in-depth.

My initial reaction to the almost trippy effects was "oh hell this is going to lag." And it did, twice. Once when there were many objects on the screen and again while fighitng Bowser and the goombas came too fast while I had another program running something. The second lagging was my fault, but the first time Luigi almost fell in a pit with just the game running.

Dunno about the lag. It never lagged for me, but could be a difference in hardware that makes this change.

It was pretty quick to GET to Bowser, but it was way too tedious to beat him. I also thought it was nice of you to make it obvious that you use the goombas to defeat Bowser. Once I got to the stage of Bowser before he (...) I had trouble recognizing where he was. I died multiple times from mis-aiming my jump on that stage of the steam.

Ah yes, I could see that be a problem, but there doesn't appear to be a better way to fluently fade the transition.

Obviously the fire balls were the main cause for the difficulty, and you should have probably made it more obvious where their hitbox was or be able to duck; I died twice when the fire was above Luigi's head and I was standing still.

The hitbox is in the middle of the fire? :P Some flames appear as a 'trail' but the hitbox is in the middle of the fire.

The sprites suck, the music is awesome, the effects and background are good, the execution is okay.

I certainly don't know how i should give feedback to this since everything seems to be futile or aggresive to a point it has to be answered and segmented to reply and excuse every point.

It's called a discussion. Do you want me to agree with you on everything? Because despite popular belief, the creator of the game has an opinion, too.
If you don't want to share anything then there's not much point of you posting in here.
