Honestly, the Wii version looks fine. Sure, his quills don't shine like oiled plastic in the sunlight, but that doesn' really matter (especially considering SA1 and SA2 didn't have Sonic shine until they were ported to GC).

and even then he wasn't "shiny", the only things that were shiny really were the jewel chao, and even those weren't that shiny.

I just find it funny how Mario and Sonic have booth been made so shiny in recent games. Sonic's hair shouldn't really be shiny, and Mario's clothing and skin really shouldn't glint like they do. I feel like the two biggest franchises are turning into action figures.

Nitro brings up a good point, but the enemies do look quite strange, even when compared to older games.
