There is a certain sweetness I can taste as this is the only place I know of which hasn't blatantly flamed Metroid: Other M (in some cases, for simply being a Metroid Game, in others, for Not being Halo...)
I was extravagantly excited for it when I first viewed the trailer. Verily I would've wept if I weren't so masculine. This may be elements of fanboyism in me as I have played and finished every Metroid game Except the original on NES, heaven help me I just cannot seem to do it, I lack the patience to survive without diagonal or downwards aiming.
The title I would guess is just a code-name.
To me, the trailer is an enormous tease, goading us with glimpses of Metroid's storyline from here and there. From looking at the gameplay elements, I am rather giddy that the game may perhaps add the agility which Samus miraculously lost in the Prime series. I have no objections to Samus throwing and abusing her opponents in whatever manner she does in combat. War is hell, remember, and I am sure Samus is able to do more than just shoot a beam cannon at her enemies. I know I'd certainly relish the pleasure of tackling a space pirate and executing him in front of his comrads. Perhaps its just me.
However the past has taught me many things, including that you only know what is in a game once it is released. So until then, I don't really care to create an image of what Metroid: Other M is going to be when I eventually play it.
