why are they so afraid of doing it for sonic again? would it REALLY not work? im asking out of curiousity because i stopped getting into sonic.
i have yet to see/hear a good reason why they can't do it again. if anyone knows the answer id like to know. id find out myself but like i said i stopped getting into sonic.
Simple. Mario was never "cool". Mario always strived to be an imagination, "kiddy" land with simple platforming and silly monsters and looking straight out of a children's book. This is somethign you can count on to be constant- in 20 years, kids will still love Mario, and with them, the grown-ups that played Mario as kids. Because Mario, like Mickey, is based on that idea of kid fun. Sonic, on the other hand, was "cool" and "edgy". Which, as I've said, ends up mounting to a fad.
EDIT: Rokkan got the point I was trying to do- when SEGA tryed to make Sonic "cool", we ended up with Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic with a sword.
Sure, Sonic Adventure was cool. But if they pulled it again, everyone would just go like "TOO MANY CHARACTERS, TOO MANY HUMANS!"
