If someone makes a 2D game for next-gen consoles, no-one will buy it unless it's for Wii.

Seriously though I wouldn't mind if Sega recycled another series and put Sonic down for a while. They've got Ristar, Vectorman, and a shitload of other games they've made over the years. Its not like they can't make good games which you can easily find out by going to your local arcade, but there's been stuff like Billy Hatcher for consoles which wasn't bad either.
