Right lets have some crits that are actually helpful since you guys tend to just go "THIS IS WRONG" rather than saying how it can be fixed.
First I am thinking that you should hunch him up some more - the shoulders are looking really straight and the whole top half is lacking energy. There's only so much you can do with a static pose of course, but compared to the legs it just looks too calm.
I don't think the fur's looking too shiny but it's definitely looking too smooth in places, mostly on the tail. The hair there's gotta be pretty long but you've shaded it as though it's like one solid mass rather than hair. Try making the edges more jagged like you have on the mane to make it look less like a smooth surface.
