The Beatles Rock Band isn't gimmicky. People have requested the Beatles since the first Guitar Hero.And Lego Rock Band is pretty gimmicky I must admit, but hey, it's more songs to play.
i can use the same argument for ever guitar hero game (except aerosmith, because noone would in their right mind play any of those songs)
The Beatles, whether you like them or not, are probably the biggest band ever. They deserve their own game. The fact that they cannot be exported to the main platform, like the RB1 songs and the track packs, was almost definitely the decision of the remaining Beatles themselves.
And I don't know what argument you're talking about. I never said the individual artist games were gimmicky (though I agree with Aerosmith being meh).
