I think you didn't get my "real artists don't use reference" point: I meant that an artist, after gathering sufficient experience (with media, and knowledge on anatomy, light) can then go without using a reference if they have this aforementioned experience.

Uh
even if you're experienced with anatomy, clothing, light, architecture, whatever, you still need to use reference on occasion.
