Veiwtiful Joe over Ryu from Street Fighter? wuut
If we're including Capcom, and we're using two characters FROM Capcom...Ryu is pretty much Capcom's trademark character to bring into a crossover fighter. And yeah, I know that Smash isn't really a fighter. Arguements could be made that Ryu's moveset is too detailed. But it's there!
Standard B - Hadouken Fireball
Up B - Shoryuken Recovery
Down B - Hurricane Kick
Final Smash - Shin-Hadouken
The rest of his attacks could be actions bought from SFII. Hard Punch = Smash, Normal Punch = Tilt. Weak Punch = Basic Jabs. Side Special could be an attack borrowed from E.Honda, another Japanese fighter. His "Sumo Headbutt" could have a name change, but it basically propels Ryu forward, similar to Pikachu's or Luigi's. The trick here, you have to hold the Control Stick backwards, for a minimum of 3 Seconds, before being launched far.
idk. Thing is, if this is a mascot fighter, why not include the original fighter? Expecially since without Street Fighter, Smash probably wouldn't exist. Ryu is just as important to Capcom as Mega Man. If we're throwing two Third Party Characters, why not include the original mascot fightee. I'll even dust out the old MSPaint in order to help.
