I think Frost Daemon is saying that he (are you a "he"?) looked for Splatterhouse sprites on the internet, and when his search failed to produce any results decided to rip the sprites instead.
Took a bunch of snapshots and carefully removed the background from the pictures (or at least the area around Rick).
Completed in the humble Paint.

I might be paraphrasing a bit.
