Since I'm late, I'll just reply to a few recent posts that I need to.

Actually, why is Roy in this game?

Because Roy owns and is a returning character from Melee. Just like Pichu.

Except Roy is like the very WORST FE Lord ever. At the beginning of his game, if his attacks even connect at all, he usually does only 2 or so damage enemies with virtually no defense. Though I didn't play through the whole game, so it's possible he gets better later, but I've heard that's not till near the very end...

But, it's too late to argue about that now.

while I agree that being in SSB is supposed to represent importance, I think that gameplay would trump that, if only by a little bit. If too many characters have similar attack styles, you start going into clone-type issues.

Of course, in Lyn's case, she really needn't use just her sword; as far as I know, she is also the only Lord in the series who can use a bow. Okay, so does Link, but there should still be other ways to do a bow/sword combo.
