Okay, a pink ball with a face. I doubt it's going to be accepted by today's standards...
First of all, your "sprite" isn't a sprite. Yes. A sprite is basically a pixelized image with limited colors for game-making uses. Right now, it uses way too much colors, and I doubt you made that anti aliasing by manual methods.
Also, the shading could have more contrast and the sprites could be more interesting.
