I dunno, I beat it with Luigi like a month after beating it with Mario, I enjoyed playing over it again cause the levels were so varied, your bound to forget some stuff between each play, and I thought Luigi's controls were different enough to deserve a playthrough. (yeah, I got all 241 stars)
For the most part I could remember what you have to do playing the game because most of the time the levels were very linear, except you playing as Luigi and for the most part it got boring.
Luigi's control's weren't completely different, for the most part they felt exactly the same as Mario's controls, just with the common differences that Luigi had since SMB2.
It wasn't bad, but there could have been a few different level layouts specifically to make it feel less repetitive.
