Sonic and the Secret Rings

pretty much most reviews praised the game, but the general public didn't like it
well fuck you
the art direction is amazing, the story, dialogue and characters are not cheesy and stupid and are actually interesting unlike pretty much ALL Sonic games after Adventure 2.
gameplay is also rad. even though it's "on-rail", when you play for a while you'll find out that there's actually more exploration and movement freedom than you think. people dislike it at first because Sonic at earlier levels is really slow and has an awful handling, but after some level-ups his handling is smoother and he's fast as hell
