Character Select/General Art Style

I was thinking, maybe Character Selects in different modes (like All-Stars, VS, Classic, etc) could have different backgrounds. Like All-Stars could be this starry background, Versus would have this burning background, and Classic would have a more plain background, with the Super Smash Bros symbol in the middle of it.
I know it's too soon to think of other modes, but I was thinking that this could be a good idea.
