Smash balls (if we toggle them to appear less often...), some of the cooler items (if there are any)? Rare stuff that makes you uber-charged? I really don't know what else he could dig up.
For my idea, I figured that the person who "unearthed" the treasure could get the same stuff you get from winning the Wario-Ware minigames, but slightly better.
