I didn't even think of the brain perspective. :/
It looks great so far, man. I'm really impressed. I updated the lineart with the other two glass tubes that poke out. I was trying to get it to you before you shaded something you didn't have to.
As for the ribbing, they change sizes in each reference. Kind of odd.

I tried to edit the spine a bit so you could see the curve (next to the curved line). Let me know what you think.
