I'm probably the only female dedicated gamer in my school. There's casuals who enjoy playing Mario Party or The Sims, but those are at the bottom of the popularity ladder and really don't go farther than that. I have noticed an increasing amount of Japanese-obsessed girls in lower classes, which I suppose is a step forward to gaming, but eh. There's this vicious cycle that associates anything remotely related to games or anime to being a loser, so people stay away from that. It's amazing how they can't see people can play games and also be cool, but okay, whatever.
