But shouldn't the eyes be all black like most M&L sprites? And I get what you were trying to do with the hair, but is it just me or does it have a little too much contrast (same with shell)? Maybe you could try pulling the right (our left) cheek in by a pixel, too? Aside from that I think it's better.
