The problem is that a line is never drawn on what is funny, what is irritating, and what is just downright overboard. Now, for a place as lax as Spamhaul, making a rule probably isn't necessary. (It seemed like a good idea a few minutes ago, but now that I'm rethinking it...)
The forums I mod that have a spam board have stricter rules than this one. I'm not saying to make things stricter, but I would think the most optimal thing to do is for a mod to watch over the threads here and step in when things seem to get too carried away. For things as minimal as this, no official guideline needs to be put into place; a mod should just user his/her own judgment to tell when a thread is going off the deep end and say "okay guys, knock the shit off". You'd have a lot less threads crashing and burning if something as simple as this was done.
