Sega Announces new 2D Sonic title

Adventure 1&2 were good, but they messed up too much from them. They dis-characterized Sonic to fill their script

Could you elaborate on this because everything in Adventure 2 was pretty much perfect story wise imo. No characters were out of place, they had good writing (or do I need to show you the true power of teamwork!!??!?), Sa2 felt like the last game where the characters actually were the characters.
