Before you draw someone sitting, look up loads of drawings of people sitting. Do shittons of sketches based on the photos. Look at how peoples weight is distributed and how their legs are foreshortened.
Seriously, if something's new to you and you're having difficulty with it, keep drawing it until you are The Master at that thing. Be it sitting poses, or hands, or whatever-the-fuck. Identify your weaknesses and obliterate them.
You are making progress, which is pretty cool, but you are definitely taking the soft option in a lot of your drawings. Push yourself all the time.
