Geez, you guys act as if certain Final Fantasy games are better based on fact rather than opinion. I mean, here's a list right now about what I think about the good and bad games IN MY OPINION, and I can guarentee I can get 60% of you butthurt just by saying so.
FFI: Classic
FFII and III: Never fully played ANY version.
FFIV: Liked how it killed off a lot of people, overall it was good
FFV: I have yet to play through PROPERLY (I gamesharked on the anthologies version because I didn't have a lot of time to play it then), but I liked the story and characters
FFVI: Godlike. Nostalgic. My Childhood.
FFVII: Overrated, but a good game, if a little emo. But no matter what anybody says, the amnesia-obsessed storylines didn't start here, they started several games before it.
FFVIII: I never liked this one. It was OKAY, but I never even finished the damn thing, I was that bored.
FFIX: Best one on the playstation in every way.
FFX: Felt kinda cheesy, but I attribute that to everyone dressing like they're at the beach (which they were, but still, not everyone needed a half-exposed chest, did they?), and it being the first game with voice acting. I bet if this one was released with no voice acting and 2-D sprites in the SNES era, this thing would be considered a masterpiece by lots of people.
FFXI: Never tried
FFXII: Not as bad as lots of haters say, but I do understand their qualms considering its take on Ivalice and the battle system. Overall though, I was enjoying it. (I abruptly stopped halfway through, going back again sometime soon). I especially like fighting Marks, that's lots of fun.
FF Tactics: I love the grim, medieval feel of it. It's also a solid tactical based RPG. I play more for the story though. (I hate the fact that my disc was broken because of unknown means. )
FFTA: Never played the first one, but I am partway through the second. Overall I have a lot of fun playing it... I just don't know how to fit it into FF's Ivalice canon. I don't think about it too much though.
Anyone agree? Disagree? Butthurt?
