Well you may claim not to be shading 'just because', but it sure as hell looks like it. Look at the shape of that thing, there's absolutely no reason to gradient-shade the fuck out of the entire thing because it wouldn't be shaded like that.

Well, now we are getting somewhere. A little direction goes a long way.

I was ATTEMPTING to emulate the Rush style shading on the Pawns for the Fighter. Since that seems off, I will try again.

Now, do you have any RECOMMENDATIONS or examples that might be of service?
