complex games are being fazed out. We don't need or demand 18 button games. The market doesn't demand graphics that need a 1000$+ TV to tell they are better nor does it demand any more cookie cutter "hardcore" games.
If Microsoft and Sony were truly fully for hardcores and think of this whole ordeal as a fad, why are they both scrampling to do the same trick Nintendo pulled (albeit a few years late) with games like Banjo-Kazooie N&B being more accessable, making more non-gamer type games and overall trying to jump on Nintendo's market.
And games made for everyone=/=not fun, nor does it not even mean it can't be hardcore, no one it can be hardcore.
Well honestly, a game is as hardcore or not as you make it. You could play Halo as simply as you want, or you could play it intensly...
