You're still sounding like a huge dick here, giving us "crits" without actually actively participating in the project itself. It's really stupid to make your first post a wall of text about what we're doing wrong. We already know what problems we have, some random guy rashly accusing us of being egomaniacal jerks isn't going to make things better.
I'm sure that if you had a message board, and one of us registered and our first post was "what you're all doing wrong" without actively being a participant in the boards, I'm sure we'd look like the jerks instead of you. That's not the case however.
And if we find a problem with a sprite, whether or not you notice it, other people do-- other people that have been actively participating and maybe even actively spriting for quite a bit. You may not notice it, but if a large majority of people notice it, then there's a problem and it needs to be fixed.
tSR is a community of spriters. Don't start criticizing us on criticizing others, because it's what we're supposed to do. If we let "small mistakes" just fly by, the spriter will not improve. This isn't just about "creating a game," it's about "improving our current skill levels while participating in a community project."
