I'd like to add my reply to this whole thing, excusing pretty much everything that has been said about the certain games, because I don't really feel like refering back to them at the moment. (that and I'm kinda interesting in purchasing a 360)
warning: the following may have course language and extreme bitchyness and maybe even a bit of fanboyism, viewer discresion is advised
okay, let's start off with the two systems I have, the PS3 and Wii.
first up to bat, Wii. Almost all of my good friends have one, and when ever we're hanging out, it's one of the things we decide to do, hang around and play some Wii. Now, I'm a guy that loves minigames, and that's what the Wii has been coming out with alot of recently, yes you can play half of these with a regular controller, but sometimes you just have to suck it up and use the Wiimote. I love paying games like MKWii, Brawl, Sonic and Mario, even some of the golf games like Super Swing Golf Season 2, and We Love Golf. But, the actual good GAME games, are slim to none on the Wii, and a few of the good games are ports from past systems. And yes, the Wii's wifi/internet is horrible, but I never was one to play games on the internet, though it does kind of anoy me when I want to watch youtube videos on it when my bro is playing the PS3. Anyways, it has to lowest price tag, and is a great multiplayer system, so this gets my vote.
Next, the PS3. I am in love with this system, I love the multiple things you can do on it, I love alot of the games I have for it, and I love the web browser alot. The only problem with it that I have so far, is the lack of exclusive titles that are out right now, like it's getting some pretty sweet games later on, like Tekken 6, Kingdom Hearts 3 (?), etc. Eventually some company is going to take advantage of the PS3's technology, and create games that can only be created on the PS3. Yes, some games on the 360 have been published on multiple disks, but it's much easier just to sit and play it without having to switch the disks. For all we know, the PS3 might just wind up like the PS2, do we all remember how that started out?
Last, but very close to least, the Xbox 360. Now, I don't own one, and I deffinately don't know much about it, but I can say, I have to give Microsoft SOME credit with it's home console. I have to say, some of the games do apeal to my eye (some of them ARE FPSs, some of them aren't), but I'm afraid of purchasing one because of this RRoD, and Microsoft's liability to actually FIX things, so I don't really think it's worth it. So if anyone could tell me how to avoid the RRoD from happening (besides the avoid playing for extended periods of time), I'd probably put my cash on the counter for this console.
Well, that wasn't so bad, feel free to reply to this and comment on how wrong or stupid I am, I probably won't reply for a while.
