iceman(and anyone else), there's that extra bit of self criticism you still fail to do on your own. you have to be a bit more smart and actually learn to filter criticism from opinions, and take these opinions and either think "ok, people doesnt like this for a reason, hmm, lets see what it could be" or "oh, ok its just a personal opinion so lets move on". its not that hard, but it does require you to be a bit more mature and to a point, it also requires a good dosis of self confidence in order to not set yourself on a defensive mood just cause someone said something you dont like.
the moment you learn to re-think and analyze your own work, on your own, outside of your own head, you pretty much reached the point where there would be no limit on how much you could improve. but again, it takes two balls of steel and several inches of hair on your chest to be able to take that extra step.
