To be honest, both music and gameplay are really important to a game's "fun value". I think Sonic Colors is excelling in both, from seeing the gametrailer videos (still need to play it).

If you don't believe me, then play Sonic Chronicles. Its gameplay was good but sweet jesus the music was HORRIBLE. It was so bad that I played the entire game on mute.

The gameplay wasn't great either.

LOL basing hit accuracy on your attack stat and evasion on your speed stat.
