you never shade to show depth, you do literally the exact same thing that everyone new to art(i know you're not new but you've made this mistake for years) makes: you're shading for literally no other reason than to shade

Stop doing cutesy things. Seriously. Stop it. You're holding yourself back so much by confining yourself to the "tiny bodies, big heads, animu uguuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~" style you do with literally everything. You've shown you're more than capable of doing other (infinitely better) styles, creatures, people, etc(the orange thing in this thread for instance). Yet you continually do this cutesy garbage. And don't even try to kid yourself, it is garbage. You have a solid grasp on art, but it's like you've dug yourself a pidgeonhole and strapped yourself in to make sure you never have to come out.
