Might I also point out that when you're having trouble AAing small things and getting the curves to look right, doing something six times larger isn't going to fix that. The line art on your newest WIP still contains the same problems that the smaller pixel art shares. The curves and bumps in the line art along with inconsistent AAing make certain areas lose the smooth curvature that you're aiming for.
It might help to look over this thread in order to fix some of the line art issues. Proper AAing can fix them, but that only comes with practice.
You're doing good, but there a good number of things that could be fixed and that could make this a ton better.
Here's a few areas that I quickly edited to show what I mean. You need to be precise with your pixel clusters and your AAing. Try your hardest to avoid banding. Practice, practice, practice!
