The only thing that really bothers me is that his back spine looks jut out too much, and his expression looks blank, like Viper said.

On that screen the model has no rig and no animation, it's solid. We just has moved his eye to show "Hey look, Sonic can move his eye!"

The spines on the back are intentional, I mean, on Sonic OVA, Sonic has two wings on the back.
