To be honest I *am* making that judgement from what I've played so far.

The whole City Elf deal is that you're going to be put in an arranged marriage, and a human noble crashes the party and ruins everyone's day. I had 3 different saves going where I was a nice doormat, where I basically hated and rejected everyone, and one where I was nice, but had no emotional attachment to my betrothed and didn't care what happened to her.
Because of the way you're railroaded to do a few key things, nothing you do in the opening segment affects anything - it's too early to get Approval ratings. One route will net you a huge fucking pile of money, but the game stops you from collecting it and breaking the game; which was a HUGE piss take.
I suppose outside of those insular circumstances, the moral compass bits mean a lot more.
