I'm not sure about the railroading actually, I've had a couple unfinished playthroughs but I'm usually playing much the same type of character, I'll have to change it up a bit I guess!
It's a shame, because the actual decisions you have to make are pretty awesome, but a lot of the things you make decisions on don't have much of an effect until the epilogue. Which makes sense, but it makes you feel sort of detached from it, like the decision doesn't matter all that much
The biggest problem DA has is Molyneux syndrome. I was expecting something as good as Baldur's Gate 2, and well... it's good, and I'll probably play it forever and ever like a dork, but it's nothing like as good as it was hyped up to be.
