so, what, do you think that the people who "take it too far" actually think in their heads something along the lines of "eheheheh yes i like this thing but now it is time to take it too far!! that is what i am thinking"
and do you think anyone will say anything other than "yeah man i agree," i mean by definition you can't want "too far" or else it wouldn't be "too"
and then how do you know what "too far is," the ACTUAL problem is agreeing what that is, in which case there are a myriad of better and more productive ways to address that
dialogues involve two people!! you have to say things that also work from the other person's perspective (kind of like how i'm taking the time to very thoroughly explain my viewpoint to you) to some degree
and then there's also the specific problem with that specific conversation about feminists because feminists who take it "too far" (which my guess is that is supposed to mean some kind of made-up pop culture nonsense like "man they hate men, what the heck!! and they want all women to dress like nuns too!!") don't really exist and if they do then jesus they must be few in number relative to more rational people
where does the explanation not work/make you not agree, exactly
edit: since other posts came up while i was typing this, to ensure perfect clarity: this is directed at flannel
