the jokes were basically: AND THEN THEY HAD SEX. ALSO VIOLENCE. ALSO EMOS ARE LAAAAAAAAAME.
Which, well, you could apply to pretty much any two films ever. It's not parody so much as using the True Blood and Twilight franchises as some kind of... reference humour? It's not funny because it's actually pointing out much that was ridiculous or extending anything from the series, it's just "Hey: have you seen True Blood? HAHAHAHA what a show!"
It's the difference between Mars Attacks, or Robin Hood: Men in Tights (which are fun and anything but highbrow) and say... Epic Movie.
