Basically, Sonic and the Black Knight makes beat'em ups feel like platformer games. You can beat a few levels with just holding forward, closing your eyes and masturbating your Wii Remote furiously whenever you hear Sonic take damage.
I wasn't saying that the level designs in it were terrible, and didn't hamper the game at all. It's just that there could been so much more done with it than just making a huge linear path way that all you do is run, jump and killing enemies while ruing so damn fast. for fucks sake sega could have just put in the classic controller at least to make up for the lousy wiimote control. These two factors just made it so straight forward you probably didn't even need to look at the screen the whole time in order to do it.
Black Knight was just a terrible game ether way, even if sega did more with it it still would have been shit. It was a terrible concept that they shat out to try to make sonic appeal to everyone. not only that but the controls were shit, the level design was twice as more bland and the whole gameplay of it was shit. There could ave been no way at all sega could have tried to make it look good even if they took time on it.
This is why I hope sonic colors will make up for the lousy excuse of a game the both of them were, even though there it's worthy of it's hype considering how it looks won't mean it's great. That applied to Unleashed too but that didn't work out well as they hoped (Although, Considering how much I have heard the day levels were great, that wasn't too too bad judging by how clean it played).
