I wouldn't agree. In fact, I'd say Heroes is the worst game in the series. Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 2006 included.
The poorly-coded physics and numerous glitches make the game almost unplayable; I played up to the last level (I think, whatever it was it looked, sort of, like the Egg Carrier from Adventure, so I'm assuming it was the final level) with Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, at which point I just couldn't bear to play anymore for how terrible it was, and the disk was removed from the Gamecube never to be put back in. It's been years since I played it, but even now, just thinking about Sonic Heroes makes me feel ill.
It's that bad.
Well then your disk was either really fucking scratched up or your gamecube was shitty because I never had horrible glitches with it. The worse I ever had with the game was kinda wonky controls at times but other then that it was mainly the whole team thing wasn't executed right.
My gamecube, wii, and disc are all in perfect condition. The game is just that bad.
The pinball level is impossible, and as grooveman said, frog forest is so full of cheap deaths and bugs that the level is literally unplayable.
Maybe the fact that I own the ps2 version has something to do with it? Because honestly It wasn't even that glitchy, it just had some wonky controls making a tad bit easier to die when you needed presision. I also can't beat Rose's level with the things with the turtles but I've gotten past the pinball thing with just about every other team. (Also all the teams have their own storylines and some with even different level desings so not all of them were the same anyway?)
