Now Chris, you say "Oh if you don't like people being so hostile then follow your own advice and don't pay attention to it"* but you forget, I'm a moderator. Caring about what people post happens to be apart of my job, just like keeping the peace around here is also apart of my job. I am all for free speech and people saying what they have to say but if people really feel the need to bitch at eachother for being ironic all the time or being unfunny or some idiotic bullshit like that and cause a huge shitstorm then they can take it to the PM system or an IM service of some sort and keep it off the fourms because thats literally the last thing we need breaking out all over the place.**
I'm pretty sure that being respectful is one of the rules, even though the rules generally don't have to be followed in here (Except rule 4) you are expected to some degree to use your common sense in here. In fact using your common sense shouldn't even have to be said. It isn't like I'm asking everyone to be friends with eachother. Just be civil enough to post in the same forum or maybe even the same topic and not let it dissolve into a huge shitstorm.
If someone gets pissed over having their post deleted then they need to take a break from here because we do not delete posts very often. If someone's post gets deleted then that means they obviously posted something wrong as common sense would tell you.
oh, and banning the disruptive members is a temporary solution, because they can still use their alternate services to be disruptive until blocked, but it still doesn't solve the problems of the members involved, because it's their fault and responsability. as a moderator you are here to clean up their mess.
*mh, i didn't quite say that.

what i'm getting at, is that maybe this "shithole" won't change because the people who moderate haven't, as well as normal users?
