it has bad level design, humorously bad enemy design, an incredibly poor and shoddy story execution (and plot as well, if what I've heard is any indication), forgettable music

you have to consider that giz doesn't like any of the metroid games that isn't super metroid, and that he has ridiculously high standards. literally nobody else has (or notices) these kinds of problems, lol.
