I will agree that this is a great engine, even if it lacks many characters. However, it still has to resolve the one issue all fan-made SSB engines face: Namely, you can't "smash" computer buttons. How will the game resolve this; I am curious to know? I also would advise making it as compatible with readily-available control pads as is possible.
Make no mistake, though; this is the start of something big. I have an idea: since we're TSR, why not make a fan-game called Super Smash Others with this engine? Basically, a game in which all the well-known heroes are captured, and a lot of obscure characters like Kunio (sorry to tout myself) and Gex have to go save them. I think that would be cool.
