the only reason why animal crossing was good at all was because the gamecube/n64 one had NES games.
it went downhill from there because most of the gameplay is real boring, nothing really great other then fetch quests, fishing, digging, gardening, bug catching, shopping.
all of that's nice and all (except fetch quests, no one likes those unless it's Majora's mask) but it gets boring after the first few days you play it. I know they're trying to simulate real life but it turned out pretty shitty since real life isn't always about watching your house or talking to people.
