Actually, someone found the connection between Wotter's samari theme (according to the interview), and the doggicorn thing he becomes. I may be explaining this wrong but it was something about shoguns having armor that was so heavy that they would no longer be able to move as fast or swing a sword around, so they'd have to ride horses and use javelins or something like that.
I'm not really defending it btw. Having the samari turn into the samari's horse would be like having Machoke turn into a pair of weights because body builders use them.
Oh, and to anyone wondering about the katana statement in the interview, it says Wotter's evo would use the shell in a katana fashion, so it most likely meant his middle stage. Honestly though, I'd like a different final form for him, but I'm not going to let it ruin the game for me. I like the design, just not the idea of it being a part of Wotter's evolution line.
