Must I evaluate more that just because the main character isn't who you want it to be won't mean shit in a game? Come on now, even you know that a change like this really won't do much.

EDIT:besides we don't even know what this character is like, Sure this kind of destroys my earlier point but really. We'd have to know how this guy operates before we can even bash him.

its not just the character design
its literally everything except for the enemy design
its all abysmally ugly and horrid
its like they tried to take everything about devil may cry that was "cool", and decided "if we make this edgier and more extreme and darker and american it'll be badass, right"
