heh it's just because my original charecter is Sephmaru
typically if u have a japanese name ending in Maru it's a boy.

Riku a boy name
Rika a girl name

it's not proven to be 100 percent acurate but typically a name ending in an A sound will probabaly a girl

Ree-Kaa sound like a boy name? Ree-Kuu could also be a girls name but it sounds more boyish...
Mara sounds more feminin...maybe too femenin for a tomboyish charecter...
