Fire Starter - I agree with Tiger
Grass Starter - Gecko, Triceratops or Pterodactyl (Grass/Flying anyone?)
Water - Beefed up Isopod or a dolphin.

Pidgey - A woodpecker evolutionary line
Caterpie - a mosquito evolutionary line
Weedle - a flea evolutionary line
Pikachu (Non-Evo, like Plusle/Minun, the squirrel and the flying squirrel) - An adorable electric porcupine
Pikachu (Evo, like Shinx line and Electric Zebra) - Electric Panda, Kangaroo or Badger

Some others I shouldn't even be mentioning this early in the creative process, buuuut... I couldn't resist, and I'd forget otherwise

Gila Monster based line - Starts out as a Ground type lizard that becomes more Gila Monster like after leveling up while knowing Toxic, becoming a Ground/Poison

Selkie based line - A water/grass type horse-faced Pokemon

Antlion "Snorlax" - Creates a big gap in a path until battled. Perhaps Ground/Bug or Ground/Steel?

Football Pokemon - A no-evo fighting type pokemon that looks like an American football player xD

Hardcore Moose - A cute ice type that when leveled up with some sort of metal or claw item evolves into a tough looking moose with metal antlers, making an Ice/Steel type.

Dualtype Mandrill - A fire/water type mandrill (due to the red and blue facial features)

Ghost Evo Line - A Ghost/Steel type based on a possessed suit of armor.
