Giving my two cents about the pokémon designs in this generation.
I used to hate Daikenki as much as JarJar hates too. Mijumaru was my favourite starter, being so adorable and all, and Daikenki pretty much ruined it for me. But as time passed I began to like it more and more. I love all of the starters and their evolutions of this generation, it's really weird, considering that some pages ago I was hoping that those designs were just a mock-up. The same goes for some pokémon in this generation as well, I used to dislike a ton of them, but now, even though I still dislike a lot of them, I really love some of them.
Just so you know, I decided to make a list of my three favorite pokémon of each type and then count how many pokemon of each generation there are. Generation I came in first place, maybe partially because of nostalgia, but Generation V came in a very close second, and I was very surprised, like "Wow, I didn't know I liked Generation V that much!"
btw, for who's interested, the numbers are:
17 from gen I
9 from gen II
4 from gen III
6 from gen IV
15 from gen V
later I'll post them on a thread about it or something idk
