Trying to animate a sprite

I am try to get this sprite to animate but im having problems. Just look at the picture



I removed some layers to make it easier but I need to change the background colour to a lighter colour(Or white if possible). Does anyone know how to do this?

Im not sure if this is where i would ask. Sorry Im new

All the emulators i've used can't remove the layers and this seems the best atm. If anyone knows how I can change the background colour then please let me know
