OBJECTION!
I have my reasoning to believe that you didn't actually didn't rip these sprites. The way the effects are ripped tipped me on this. I took a look at the effect sprites that Davias showed in his post, and how uneven they were, and compared them to the sprites that Tin used for his MUGEN conversion of Rugal (from King of Fighters 2002).
Take the seventh sprite for that effect. Now, just to make sure, I compared it to the same sprite in-game.
First of all, the one on your sheet is missing a noticable chunk off the top, and has the same dimensions as the ones from Tin's Rugal. Secondly, Tin's Rugal 2002 has palette problems. Let's take a closer look, shall we? Don't mind the palette difference between the first and second sprites (MAME makes the palettes slightly brighter, I've noticed), but note that there's an entire shade of red that's missing in the second and third sprites.
If these were ripped from the game itself, it wouldn't have had that palette problem in the first place! So, because of that, I have come to the conclusion that you did not rip these sprites yourself, Metal Mario, and you resorted to stealing them from a MUGEN conversion. Care to say anything in your defence?
